Obituary: Rev. Fr. Luis Ruiz S.J. (陸毅神父)

We regret to inform to all of you that Fr. Luis Ruiz has passed way today at 6:30 am in Macau due to a respiratory failure. We all know the big love that Fr. Ruiz had for the people in China, specially the poor and marginalized, the leprosy affected and the AIDS affected, the orphans, the elder, etc . Fr. Ruiz was like a father and also a close friend for thousands of people in China and in Macau who have nobody to rely on.
Fr. Luis Ruiz has shared with us many gifts, but the most important one is his mission to serve those in need. With your help, CRSS will continue his mission to serve the poor in China in the same way he has taught us: To be close to them, to serve them, to learn from them.
Fr. Ruiz´ burial will take place on August 3rd, in Macau, at the Catholic Cathedral. We count on your prayers and support to continue the mission that Fr. Ruiz has started in China more than 60 years ago.
- Fr. Fernando Azpiroz Casa Ricci Social Services

SOYS Dinner

The annual gathering of the "Students of the Year Scheme" was held on 19 January 2011. This year was special because we had six new SOYs from both F5 and F6. They were all welcomed by other members at the dinner. Martin Kwan (Convenor of the Timeless Bonding Scheme) was invited and interestingly pointed out that SOYS is unique among other groups under the Timeless Bonding Scheme because we have one extra icon in the PSA website. We also thanked our Principal Mr. George Tam, Mr. Philip Ching and Mr Ivan Hau for their attendance and support to SOYS.

'BIG FACE' FOR THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE

The two chairmans for the WYK and WYHK PSAs have the great honour of inviting Supervisor Fr. Stephen Chow and Principal John Tan to officiate the football league kick off ceremony.    They were joined by a very special guest from Vancouver, Principal Raymond Yu, who travelled all the way to see how the Wah Yan boys doing.   Mr. Yu said he last played football with the Calgary and Edmonton chapter about 10 years ago - no wonder he is still so young and energetic.    Thanks for the blessing from Mr. Yu and great support from the school management to allow us to keep the football league going on and on for decades.  View web album here
