Victoria Park Swimming Pool Restaurant
The recent Wine & Dine event was held at the Victoria Park Swimming Pool Restaurant on 22 Aug. We went back to the HK-Chinese menu this time from those European and Asian cuisines. Anyhow, the dinner that night was full of laughter and we enjoyed to chat with our ex-sports master, Ip Sir very much. -Silas Chan 2011.08.30

The 2nd Annual PSA Wine & Dine

The 2nd Annual PSA Wine & Dine (aka Dr. Chung KL Wine & Dine) was held on Monday July 26 at Ivan The Kozak in Central.  This dinner started by Martin Kwan last year with PSA event coordinators to discuss the year plan.  This year I extend the invitation to all PSA Interest Group convenors and in total 15 people attended.  We discussed the direction of PSA for the coming year over scrumptious Russian cuisine as well as many bottles of wine.

After the dinner, about half of the people stayed behind for more discussion & drinking and thanks to Ivan the owner who gave us complimentary vodkas exclusively imported from Russia.  Even after the restaurant closed, 6 of us stood on Hollywood Road talking till 2am.  Dr. Chung enjoyed the vodkas so much he bought 2 bottles of chili vodka from the restaurant to take home.

I would like to thank Silas Chan for organizing such a wonderful dinner& thank all those who attended.  In the coming future, Silas promised to
organize more Wine & Dine party open to all with varieties of different cuisines.

Rising from the ashes - 9th July 2009
Silas Raymond Chan ’85 (seated left) is giving a hand to revive the Wind & Dine Club after a long break of 5 years!
The trial wine dinner was held at Le Chaumiere in Admiralty on 9th July 2009. 12 persons, including our Convenor Dr. Chung Ka Leung, Past Presidents Mr. Nick Tsui and Mr. Toby Lo and other council members of the year 09/10, volunteered as guinea pigs without hesitation that night. The atmosphere was full of joy and the conversation, as steered by PSA Chairman Martin Kwan (5th from left), focused on various lighter issues concerning the PSA and our Alma Mater.
French cuisines with wines from Brazil and India were served. Wine details as following: 1. Chateau Indage, Marquise de Pompadour, Brut NV Sahyadri Valley, Nasik, India; 2. Casa Valduga, Duetto Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot 2006 Vale dos Vinhedos, Rio Grande, Brazil; 3. Casa Valduga, Duetto Chardonnay/Riesling 2008 Vale dos Vinhedos, Rio Grande, Brazil.
Kindly let Silas know should you wish to make any suggestions or join our future Wine & Dine Gatherings.
